International Trade Data System (ITDS)

Implementation Update

In January 2017, The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) published a rule that established new standards and procedures for the import and export of controlled substances, listed chemicals, and tableting and encapsulating machines; as well as procedures for the reporting of the theft and loss of listed chemicals and domestic transactions involving tableting and encapsulating machines and listed chemicals. Currently, the ability to submit the forms to DEA utilizing the online systems is not yet fully functional:

DEA Form 107: Theft or Loss of Listed Chemicals

DEA Form 453: Notification of Domestic Transactions Involving Listed Chemicals

Contact ITDS@usdoj.gov for questions regarding required reporting.
