Directions for Downloading and Installing the Manufacturers Year-End Report Generator – Reset

Summary:

After creating a backup of your companies’ 2002 report package, you will download three files in a folder you will create within the Year-End Report Generator program folder. After successfully downloading all three files to this location, running one such file (by double clicking on the icon) will reset the Year-End Report Generator to a "just installed" state with no company data.

To Download the files that will RESET the Manufacturer’s Year-End Report Generator:

Use the Year-End Report Generator Program to "export" your companies 2002 report package. This will serve as your firm’s 2002 report package "back-up".

IMPORTANT– Close all programs before starting the installation process.

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Year-End Report Generator
Create a New Folder entitled resetYER

Right click on the Manufacturers Year-End Generator - RESET link below. This link contains a executable file housing the three files required files.

Select "Save Target As" (Explorer Users) or "Save Link Target As" (Netscape Users)
A Save As dialog box will appear. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Year-End Report Generator\resetYER. Click Save.

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Year-End Report Generator\resetYER.
Double click on file "reset_ye.exe" Three files will be extracted "resetYER.vbs", "yer.ini", "yer.mdb".
Double click on file"resetYER.vbs"
- Note: If you are unable to double click on the above file, you may also run the program by going to the Start menu located on the Desktop and selecting Run. In the Open dialog box, type c: and then click on the Browse button. Navigate to c:\Program Files\Year-End Report Generator\resetYER and select resetYER.vbs. Press OK.

By selecting OK, you will clear all customer data from the Year-End Report Generator and reset the program settings to a "just installed" state.
You are now finished. The Year-End Report Generator can now be used to complete your 2004 year-end report (i.e. statistics on 2003 data).
