The Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Office of Diversion
Control is planning the 17th National Conference on Drug and Chemical
Diversion in Charleston, South Carolina, June 17-19, 2008. The purpose
of this national conference is to bring together state officials who
represent all areas of pharmaceutical diversion control to meet DEA

knowledge and experiences as well as discuss current trends, regulatory
control, and enforcement strategies.
The meeting is by invitation only and is intended for

regulatory drug control and operational law enforcement personnel who
focus on the diversion of licitly manufactured controlled substances.
